Award-winning TV director Zhao Baogang, famous for romantic melodramas, invites young rising Mainland Chinese idol Tong Dawei to take center stage in the new drama Struggle. Tong is Lu Tao, a talented architecte graduate who aspires to become a top architect some day. His architect stepfather, however, often reminds him to be more down-to-earth, and his disapproval of Lu Tao's dream estranges him from his stepson.
