Based on the popular same-titled webtoon, the teen movie directed by Lee Kyung Sub (Miss The Train) revolves around the problem of school bullying and follows a teenager in overcoming the trauma. The cast of Student A also includes Jung Da Bin (Now and Forever), Lee Jong Hyuk (Hindsight), Yoo Jae Sang (The Age of Shadows) and Jung Da Eun (Summer Night).

Insecure and shy girl Mi Rae (Kim Hwan Hee) is a middle school student fascinated with writing and the fantasy world of online games. She dreams of an ideal place with no family abuse, no hateful classmates and no loneliness. One day, she finds the courage to make friends for the first time – Tae Yang (Yoo Jae Sang) and Baek Hap (Jung Da Bin) – but it turns out to only make her situation even worse. Meanwhile, the company of her favorite online game announces its closure. Mi Rae decides to meet her longtime online gaming buddy Jae Hee (Su Ho) in person and make a true friend.
