The family that eats together, stays together! Comedian Dayo Wong leads the 2022 blockbuster comedy-drama Table for Six, which became Hong Kong's second biggest local film of all time. Written and directed by Sunny Chan (Men on the Dragon), the dysfunctional family and romance comedy revolves around three brothers and their complicated relationships that play out at the dinner table. Dayo Wong is joined at the Table for Six by Louis Cheung (Breakout Brothers), Chan Charm Man (Three Husbands), Stephy Tang (My Prince Edward), Ivana Wong (The Calling of a Bus Driver) and Lin Min Chen (Vampire Cleanup Department).

Oldest brother Hong (Dayo Wong) believes greatly in the importance of eating together as a family, but his cooking doesn't measure up to his talking. Hong's stepbrother Li (Louis Cheung) and half-brother Xi (Chan Charm Man) both find their older brother to be a bit lame. Luckily, Xi's girlfriend Josephine (Ivana Wong) is a total cooking master, so the three brothers finally get to enjoy good food when she takes over dinner duty. However, things start to get a bit spicy when Li brings home girlfriend Monica (Stephy Tang), who happens to be Hong's ex. To make the meals go down easier, Hong also invites a pretend girlfriend (Lin Min Chen) into the mix. Every night at 8 p.m., the six gather to eat and chat together, but all kinds of flavorful trouble is simmering at the dinner table.

Product Information

It is often said that food and meals bring families together, but in TABLE FOR SIX it’s clear that not all family gatherings are a cause for celebration. In this melodramatic comedy, three brothers reside in a home that they inherited from their late parents. The eldest brother Steve (Dayo Wong), theoretically is the man of the house, but he constantly is getting dissed by his two younger brothers Bernard (Louis Cheung Kai Chung) and Lung (Chan Charm Man Peter) for the decisions he makes, the inedible meals that he cooks, and his complicated romantic encounters. To prepare for a family reunion dinner, Steve seeks the help of Lung’s girlfriend and foodie Josephine (Ivana Wong) and in doing so, wins back their hearts for a while, until his old flame and Bernard’s new girlfriend Monica (Stephy Tang) shows up. That’s a recipe for a disaster waiting to explode! The unexpected visit of Steve’s part-time girlfriend Meow (Lin Min-Chen) not only fails to turn down the heat and cool the awkward situation, but stirs up the sibling conflict even further.
