Furuya Usamaru's manga Teiichi no Kuni about high school politics arrives on the silver screen in a colorful live-action adaptation directed by Nagai Akira (If Cats Disappeared from the World). Suda Masaki (Gintama) stars in the teen comedy as the hero Teiichi, a student at a prestigious all-boys high school known for producing Japan's future movers and shakers. He aspires to one day become prime minister, and his journey towards carving his own kingdom begins here and now with the student council elections.

Teiichi definitely, absolutely, must become student body president – but he's far from the only one vying for the vaunted position in this special high school full of ambitious boys! His first step towards greatness begins freshman year when he must align himself with the right faction and candidate vying for this year's presidential election, in order to pave the way for his own election later on. He's joined in the political battle by a loaded cast of popular young actors, including Shison Jun (Survival Family) as Teiichi's loyal lieutenant, Nomura Shuhei (Sagrada Reset) as his longtime rival, Takeuchi Ryoma (Yell for the Blue Sky) as a popular transfer student, and Chiba Yudai (My Brother Loves Me Too Much) and Mamiya Shotaro (Litchi Hikari Club) as upperclassman candidates.
