導演：珠璣

有「十二金釵」之稱的十二名歌姬受樂師石韻笙訓練，備送宮廷。欽差黃公虎殺笙，將十二人據為己有。眾女中除柳飄翠外，皆懾於虎淫威而就範。虎為斬草除根，冒笙名去信催促笙子亭回鄉，卻不知亭已病逝。

亭好友司馬雲峰覺事有蹺蹊，遂假冒亭往查究竟。峰被虎多番加害，均為笙老僕祝桐所救。翠假扮女鬼，忍辱偷生，峰邂逅翠，一見傾心，復從翠、桐口中得悉虎所為，遂向陳藩王求援，終把虎繩之以法，十二釵女繼續歌舞昇平。

Great story and songs but shame about the quality of the film! Many parts of the movie was blur and hazy with wobbly sound. This film definitely need to be remastered digitally to improve viewing quality.
If only there is a better version this film would have been quite enjoyable.

This is a must have opera. The songs are so good. Both actress perform well, it's also all colored. Very well made movie, definitely recommend.
