Famous filmmaker Wong Jing turns from making hilarious movies to directing TV series co-produced by Mainland China and Hong Kong. Leading the star-studded cast is Anthony Wong Chau Sang, who plays a Robin Hood-like hero trying to uncover a huge sum of money intended for overthrowing the corrupt Prime Minister. Anthony Wong leads a team of eight heroes and heroines, each played by a popular actor from Hong Kong or Mainland China. Edison Chen makes his TV debut in Eight Heroes, while Mainland actor Lu Yi (Seven Swords) plays a skilled killer who devotes himself to upholding justice. Comedy actor Lam Tze Chung from Kung Fu Hustle and actresses Fan Bingbing, Li Bingbing and Li Xiaolu also appear in the series.
