Directed by Wesley Wang, the Taiwan fantasy comedy The Eye See The Soul draws on traditional cultural practices and supernatural hijinks. During the Japanese colonial period, Chen Ah Hai (Huo Zheng Qi) was in the middle of bathing when he bravely tried to catch an underwear thief, and lost his life. However, Ah Hai, who died without any clothes on, was mistaken as the underwear thief. Ah Hai was shamefully removed from the family tree by fellow villagers, and his spirit was sealed under the town gate. Decades later, Ah Hai's descendants are tasked with performing a traditional ritual and unwittingly unseal Ah Hai's spirit who is unable to reincarnate because of his unjust treatment and grievances.

在日治時代的澎湖「媽宮城」有一位南甲搖櫓人陳阿海（霍正奇 飾），洗澡洗到一半，因見義勇為抓偷內衣賊裸身而死。沒穿衣服橫死的阿海被當作偷內衣賊，被鄉親從族譜除名而成為一縷冤魂，魂魄還被當時海靈殿法師長封印在媽宮城順承門下。
數十年後，阿海的後代子孫南甲海靈殿主委福源伯（雷洪 飾），因為即將舉辦王爺聖誕找不到可以執行科儀的小法團，找回弟弟陳錦文幫忙。而在澎湖國小任教的錦文女兒陳可可（王沛語 飾）與青梅竹馬的坤松（黃新皓 飾）、閨蜜鳳葵（方琦 飾）、樂團主唱柯楠(于浩威 飾)，大家在可可說服下，一起幫忙協助主委福源伯傳承小法文化，卻不被校長接受。
坤松在機緣下打開天眼，開啟了封印在順承門下的阿海，阿海發現坤松看得到自己後，纏著他想要一件「自己」的衣服，又想起自己因為冤死而被族譜除名而無法釋怨投胎。最後在福源及眾人的努力之下，一起幫助有情有義的先人阿海放下怨氣順利投胎，也順利解決小法文化的傳承。
