Hong Kong writer Lai Ho's The Great Detective Sherlock Holmes children's book series reimagines the legendary detective in a world of anthropomorphized animal characters. Sherlock Holmes has the appearances of a dog while his trusty partner Watson is a cat. Directed by Toe Yuen and Matthew Chow, the Hong Kong animated film The Great Detective Sherlock Holmes - The Greatest Jail-Breaker, which was selected as a Recommended Film by the 26th Hong Kong Film Critics Society Award, brings the adventures of the 19th-century crime-solving dog detective to the silver screen.

Gentleman thief Mack may be loved by the public, but he's a big headache for Scotland Yard. With the help of Sherlock Holmes, the police finally captures Mack at his daughter Katie's birthday party. Four years later, Mack gets into a fight with Scarface in prison and manages to escape in the process. While on the chase, Sherlock Holmes learns that Mack has a reason for breaking out, and decides to let him turn himself in after fulfilling his wish. However, Scarface suddenly appears and takes Katie hostage.

This edition comes with two postcards and a 64-page book that explains the characters and animation process.
