My Prince Edward writer-director Norris Wong returns with her second feature film The Lyricist Wannabe, which again captures a unique slice of Hong Kong life and culture. The 2024 Hong Kong comedy-drama follows the experiences of a young woman who aspires to become a lyricist. Chung Suet Ying (Time) earned Best Actress nominations at the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards and the 60th Golden Horse Awards for her charming performance of an everyday girl with a dream. Eric Kot, singer ANSONBEAN, Amy Tang, Sabrina Ng, Ernest Poon and My Prince Edward's Chu Pak Hong co-star in the film, and there are cameo appearances by many HOng Kong lyricists. Both Norris Wong and Chung Suet Ying are also song lyricists in real life.

Young aspiring lyricist Law Wing Sze (Chung Suet Ying) believes that writing song lyrics is her calling. The student is determined to take this career path, but the path keeps presenting roadblocks. Wing Sze tries hard to hone her skills, collaborate with other songwriters and musicians, expand her horizons and find opportunities, from entering competitions to sending cold emails. Through experiencing different lessons in lyrics and life, Wing Sze begins to make headway in her creative journey, but in this industry dreams and disappointments come hand in hand.
