Hwang Jung Min (Asura: The City of Madness) stars as a secret agent in The Spy Gone North! Directed by Yoon Jong Bin (Kundo: Age of the Rampant), the thrilling spy drama is based on the real-life story of former secret agent Park Chae Seo. Besides Hwang Jung Min, the film's cast gathers experienced actors Lee Sung Min (Real), Jo Jin Woong (The Handmaiden), Ju Ji Hoon (Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds) and Park Sung Woong (The Great Battle), as well as pop diva Lee Hyo Ri in a special appearance. Known as one of the best Korean film of 2018, The Spy Gone North garnered over 21 awards, including Best Director at the 26th Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards.

In the mid-1990s, former military officer Park Seo Young (Hwang Jung Min), codename "Black Venus," is assigned on a spy mission by South Korea's National Intelligence Service. He disguises himself as a businessman to approach North Korean government officials and gather intel about their secret nuclear program. While winning the trust of Ri Myung Woon (Lee Sung Min), Seo Young becomes immersed in the political struggle between the two regimes.
