Tanimura Tsutomu (Kubota Masataka) works as the private secretary for Kawashima, a member of the House of Representatives in a provincial city. Though he's not particularly passionate about his work, Tanimura is satisfied with his job and life as is. However, one day Kawashima falls ill. Around this time, the House of Representatives is also dissolved. Kawashima's daughter Yumi (Miyazawa Rie) decides to run for office, and Tanimura becomes her assistant. Considering Kawashima's rock-solid standing with the constituency, Yumi seems sure to win as long as nothing goes wrong. But Yumi doesn't want to follow old politics, leading to an unprecedented election campaign!

●ストーリー
とある地方都市。
谷村勉はこの地に強い地盤を持ち当選を続ける衆議院議員・川島昌平の私設秘書。秘書として経験も積み中堅となり、仕事に特別熱い思いはないが暮らしていくには満足な仕事と思っていた。
ところがある日、川島が病に倒れてしまう。そんなタイミングで衆議院が解散。後継候補として白羽の矢が立ったのは、川島の娘・有美。谷村は有美の補佐役として業務にあたることになったが、自由奔放、世間知らず、だけど謎の熱意だけはある有美に振り回される日々…。
でもまあ、父・川島の地盤は盤石。よほどのことがない限り当選は確実…だったのだが、政界に蔓延る古くからの慣習に納得できない有美はある行動を起こす――それは選挙に落ちること!
