A good 17 years after Hollywood Hong Kong, Fruit Chan completes his "Prostitute Trilogy" with a satirical comedy-drama that paints a grotesque and provocative portrait of Hong Kong society. Three Husbands won Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Critics Society Awards. Leading actress Chloe Maayan also won Best Actress at the 38th Hong Kong Film Awards for her brave performance as a young woman who gets pimped out from a fishing boat by her "three husbands."

Big Brother (Mak Keung), who constantly travels between Hong Kong and mainland China, marries off Mui (Chloe Maayan) to Hong Kong fisherman Second Brother (Chan Man Lei). Born with an insatiable sex drive, the near-mute Mui needs to constantly have sex to keep her condition at bay, so her two husbands run a brothel from a fishing boat. Among Mui's regulars is construction worker Four Eyes (Chan Charm Man), who falls in love with her and eagerly takes up the position of husband no. 3. Mui's life takes a turn after the addition of another husband.

[ストーリー]
私の虜になった３人の男——彼らは全員“夫”／常人離れした性欲を持つムイ（クロエ・ヤーマン）。停泊する船の中で客を取りながら年老いた漁師の夫と生活している。／彼女に夢中になった青年（チャン・チャームマン）は船に通いつめ多額の持参金で漁師を説得し、ムイと結婚し新婚生活を始める。／はじめは順調だった陸での生活だが、彼一人では彼女を満足させることが出来ず、ムイと共に船に戻ることを決意する。／そして、ムイと夫たちとの奇妙な生活が幕を開ける…。
