Martial arts stars Zhang Jin (Master Z: The Ip Man Legacy) and Fan Siu Wong (Ip Man) appear in the period action film Times of Warlords! Directed by Ken Yip (The Real Iron Monkey) and produced by Sharon Yang, the film is set in the late Qing and early Republican period when warlords divided China. Among the many warlords, Guangdong's Lei Hong is the most reviled, as he betrays his own country to collude with foreign forces. Shanghai Jing Wu Athletic Association chairman Guo Tian sends You Ting to assassinate Lei Hong, but the mission fails. During the assassination attempt, You Ting encounters his childhood sweetheart Xiuhui, who is now Lei Hong's concubine. When Japanese Imperial Army representative Yamamoto arrives in China, Lei Hong welcomes him with fanfare. However, it turns out Yamamoto is here to take over Lei Hong's position. Enraged, Lei Hong decides to kill two birds with one stone and lay a trap for both Guo Tian and Yamamoto.
