"Queen of Daily Dramas" Jang Seo Hee, who has been active in China in recent years, returns to the Korean small screen four years after Obstetrics and Gynecology Doctors with KBS drama Two Mothers. Directed by Kwak Ki Won (Love War) and written by Hwang Soon Young (Ruby Ring), the revenge melodrama focuses on the conflicts between an infertile woman who devotes her life to protecting her children, and a vengeful surrogate mother who vows to destroy her family. Apart from Jang Seo Hee, the drama also co-stars Hwang Dong Joo (The Great Wives), Kim Kyung Nam and Lee Chae Young (The Birth of a Family), who won Best Supporting Actress at the 2014 KBS Drama Awards.
Suffering from uterine cancer, Baek Yeon Hee (Jang Seo Hee) is unable to have children. In order to maintain her marriage with Byung Guk (Hwang Dong Joo), Yeon Hee agrees to hire a surrogate mother. Believing that her brother was killed by Yeon Hee, Lee Hwa Young (Lee Chae Young) volunteers to be the surrogate mother while planning to take revenge for her brother.
