Police officer Su Jianming (Lei Jiayin) is determined to find out the mastermind behind a bus bombing that threatened the life of his father, vice-mayor Zheng Gang (Zhang Guoli). Despite his father's objections, Su begins to investigate shady business magnate Li Zhitian (Yu Hewei). Su and officer Li Huilin (Zhou Dongyu) follow the trail of clues as the investigation spirals increasingly out of control.
