Two years after Love Actually Sucks, provocative and acclaimed Hong Kong auteur Scud returns with Voyage. Made in Hong Kong, Mongolia, Malaysia, Australia, Germany and the Netherlands, Voyage is Scud's first movie to be filmed mostly in English. At the center of the film is a young psychiatrist who suffers from depression played by Ryo van Kooten (Love Actually Sucks). The psychiatrist sets off from Hong Kong on a solo journey that will hopefully help him come to terms with the wrenching emotional relationships he has had with his patients. Along the way, he records their stories and travels to locales that played hosts to them. The film features an international cast including Debra Baker, Adrian Ron Heung, Sebastian Castro, Byron Pang and Leni Speidel, and earned an Artistic Achievement Award at the 2013 Chicago International Film Festival.

A young psychiatrist ventures into a lone voyage to fight his depression. On the sea he records stories of people departed from this world prematurely, while what awaits him on the shore is the ultimate irony of life.

“Voyage” is for those who rather believe there being no end to the voyage of life, and is dedicated to the people who have departed but have never left our hearts. Shot in Inner Mongolia, Australia, Malaysia Germany, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. Scud was presented an Artistic Achievement Award by Chicago Film Festival to pay tribute to his contributions in LGBT film community.

Voyage - Censorship Still Prevails These Days Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
Very disappointed that some scenes in the movie were censored/pixelated. Should have been some warning on this censorship. The movie was quite moving and profound though.
