Traditional Japanese artistry and craftsmanship give rise to a modern con job in We Make Antiques! Directed by Take Masaharu (100 Yen Love), the caper comedy stars Nakai Kiichi and Sasaki Kuranosuke as antique dealers trying to pass off fake 16th-century antiques.

Profiteering antique dealer Koike Norio (Nakai Kiichi) arrives at the shop of Noda Sasuke (Sasaki Kuranosuke) with the intention of finding some pieces to buy low and sell high. Among the piles of pottery, he discovers teaware by Sen no Rikyu and eagerly purchases it. Koike originally thought that he had hit the jackpot, but it turns out the tea bowl is a fake. Noda is actually a failed potter who excels at creating fakes. Not to be outdone, Koike decides to team up with Noda to create an even more genuine-looking fake to put up for auction!
