Before finding success on the silver screen with acclaimed films like GF*BF and The Bold, The Corrupt, and the Beautiful, director Gillies Yang honed his talent for telling human stories on the small screen. He directed many TV movies and dramas for PTS including 2002's Wei Zhang Tian Tiang, which won him Best Directing and Best Writing at the 37th Golden Bell Awards.
Grandma (Hsieh Yue Hsia) single-handedly takes care of two grandchildren and her stroke-afflicted husband, who is the village chief. Feeling uneasy about the future, she purchases cremation urn spaces that supposedly have good feng shui and will bring good fortune to her descendants. However, due to a government crackdown on unauthorized columbaria, Grandma's urn spaces are suddenly no more. She stubbornly decides to fight the system and brings her protests to the county government and then the Legislative Yuan.

阿嬤和中風的村長丈夫兩人相依為命，因為兒子的早逝，她必須獨立堅強地養活兩個孫子和老伴。雖然生性樂觀又強悍，但是對於身後事卻一直揣揣不安，這時村裡來了幾個推銷靈骨塔的業務，一直不斷鼓吹要她買一個風水好、可以庇蔭子孫的塔位。於是這位村長嬤也鼓動街坊鄰居一起買了好幾個塔位，卻沒想到因為政府要大力取締違章建築的靈骨塔，讓他們過世後的安身之所一夕之間化為烏有。
個性頑強的阿嬤決定要抗爭到底，一路從靈骨塔建商、縣政府、立法院去陳情抗議，在抗爭過程中也遇到了一個兒子當兵卻被凌虐致死在立法院長期陳情的媽媽，她只希望自己的兒子是最後一個受害者，只要她還一口氣就要陳情到底。
