Following the widespread praise for The Long Goodbye, another film was made in 2012 to spread awareness and understanding of senile dementia and the plight of the elderly. Again produced for the Taiwan Catholic Foundation of Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia, When Yesterday Comes is an omnibus of four shorts by emerging filmmakers Ho Wi Ding (Pinoy Sunday), Shen Ko Shang (Juliets), Chiang Hsiu Chiung (Let the Wind Carry Me), and Singing Chen (A Place of One's Own). Well-known Taiwan actors like Chang Chen, Sonia Sui, Amber Kuo, Li Lieh, Ko Huan Ju, Ding Chiang, and veterans Ku Pao Ming and Tan Ai Chen spared their time to appear in the meaningful feature.

In Chiang Hsiu Chiung's "Healing", Chang Chen takes to the streets to look for his grandfather who has wandered off, and unexpectedly runs into a past lover (Sonia Sui). Ho Wi Ding's "Wake Up in a Strange Bed" looks at the world from the perspective of an Alzheimer's patient (Ding Chiang) who encounters his first love in a park, and returns to the moment of their first meeting. Shen Ko Shang's "Power On" portrays how a senile grandmother who believes she's a singer, her tired daughter (Li Lieh), and her wacky granddaughter (Amber Kuo) find a new way of living together. Singing Chen's "The Clock" draws a connection between the memories of the elderly and the urban space, exploring how people view fading memories and the disappearing city.

This edition includes the animation "The Forgotten Fourth Season" voiced by S.H.E's Ella and Wang Wen Hua.
