YesAsia Editorial Description

The sequel to the blockbuster comedy He's a Woman, She's a Man, Who's the Woman, Who's the Man picks up right where the original left off! Music producer Sam (Leslie Cheung) and his cross-dressing protege Wing (Anita Yuen) have finally professed their love for another, but now what? The two move in together, but a shared life is tough on the private, stubborn Sam, who has a hard time adjusting to Wing's changes, one of which includes a new roommate: her childhood friend Fish (Jordan Chan)! Things really heat up when androgynous superstar Fan-Fan (Anita Mui, in a heartbreaking performance) arrives back in Hong Kong and moves into Sam and Wing's apartment building. Immediately a love triangle forms, but the hidden nature of Wing's true gender throws a wrench in the works. Who does Wing love, Sam or Fan-Fan? And is she supposed to be a woman or a man?

Director Peter Chan returns to the beloved characters created in He's a Woman, She's a Man, and takes them to new and hilariously unpredictable heights! A sophisticated, gender-bending comedy that mercilessly lampoons the Hong Kong music industry, Who's the Woman, Who's the Man features a winning soundtrack and poignant performances all around. Co-starring Eric Tsang and Theresa Lee, Who's the Woman, Who's the Man is a hilarious comedy that's sure to please fans of the hit He's a Woman, She's a Man!

Product Information

Director: Chan Ho Sun

With the help of her lover, Sam, Wing impersonated a male image and became a pop singer. But one un-excepted person, Fong Yim Mui, wrecked the relationship when they both had an affair with her. The Climax was that the fact became known to Wing who became disillusioned and decided to leave, but when Sam tried and managed to urge her to stay behind, arguing that though the reality was harsh, there was still a lot to be cherished in a genuine relationship.

I guess you have to be a fan.. Customer Review Rated Bad 3 - 3 out of 10
... to enjoy this film.

The DVD is nicely presented in an attractive slipcase, but that's about as good as it gets... oh, no, there's talk of Christy Chung and her lovely behind in this film, that was probably the highlight for me.
The English subs are good, but the film was less entertaining than the first. If you enjoyed the first movie or are a fan of any of the cast then you might quite like it, but I personally found it rather boring.

Good enough for me baby Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
My friends say the first one is better, but I must say that this one is good enough. First of all it casts 3 stars I like - Leslie, Jordan Chan, Anita Mui. Secondly, the plot is very interesting -- Leslie moves in with his childish girlfriend, can't get used to living with someone, turned his girlfriend into a boy star (no one knows she's a boy), girlfriend met famous star Anita who's bored to death with her life and fell in love ... I wouldn't want to spoil the ending but definitely you should watch it. Anita is enigmatic. Leslie's acting is outstanding. I envy Anita Yuen's character -- she's not that pretty nor sexy but she gets the best of both worlds ;)

Don't miss this one Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10

Overall this is a good film, though I enjoyed watching the first version (He's a Woman, She's a Man) more. I thought it was funny to see two women (Anita Mui & Anita Yuen) kissing each other, and no big deal at all. The best parts were of course, watching Leslie and listening to the theme songs.

ok.... Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
well i just had to say the first one was better. this movie is sometime funny. the plot is kind of arkward and there is a love part of anita mui and anita relationship. i felt uncomfortable after anita mui and anita kissed. i watch this because of leslie only. but of course its not that bad. the love between leslie and anita is wuite funny. especially towards the end. when leslie was chasing anita. just like anita chase leslie in the first movie. when they got on plane. something really hilirious happen. watch and find out!
