小玉80歲的阿嬤突然中風，原本放棄急救的她竟被醫生陰錯陽差的插了管，家屬要醫院拔管，醫生以不肯做兇手拒絕，家人只好將阿嬤送到看護之家，但一個月六萬塊錢的花用卻成為小玉家的經濟負擔……
本片靈感來自台語詩人方耀乾的詩作《阮阿母是太空人》，以一個小女孩的視野來看成人世界沉重的生死命題，有別於一般生死議題的電影，底片色調常走藍綠沉重的寫實色調，本片將借鏡《艾蜜莉的異想世界》的攝影風格，以繽紛的色彩做為小女孩看待世界的角度，期冀創作出有生與死、老與少的反差，讓觀眾在尋找眼淚的過程中，重拾振作的力量！
