Directed by Seta Natsuki (Parks), the moving film Worlds Apart is based on the best-selling manga Ikoku Nikki by Yamashita Tomoko. Aragaki Yui and Hayase Ikoi (Teasing Master Takagi-san) star in the gentle story of bonding and healing through loss.
15-year-old Asa (Hayase Ikoi) suddenly loses her parents to a traffic accident that happens right before her eyes. She attends the funeral in a daze, unable to shed a tear, but she hears the heartless words of her relatives. So does Asa's aunt Makio (Aragaki Yui), an introverted 35-year-old novelist. Makio was not close with Asa's mother and had no contact with Asa before, but at that moment, Makio decides to take in her niece. Asa and Makio, who had just barely met, begin living together.
This edition coomes with five postcards and bonus features including making-of, interview, event footage and special footage.
