DAY6 - EVERY DAY6 FINALE CONCERT - THE BEST MOMENTS (3DVD + Out Sleeve + Photobook + Photo Card) (Korea Version)
A pleasing wrap-up to the Every DAY6 project

In 2017, JYP's first band DAY6 launched new songs and concerts monthly for their Every DAY6 Project. The ambitious year-long project is undoubtedly a successful one that showcases the band's talent in songwriting. Known since debut for songs about breakups and heartbroken sentiments, DAY6 caught the public's attention with hits like "I Like You" and "You Were Beautiful." Though they recently made a transformation with the wild rock song Shoot Me, let's go back in time to appreciate the band's softer pop rock and alternative rock sounds in the Every DAY6 Finale Concert, the final wrap-up concert of the Every DAY6 Project.

DAY6 kicks off the concert with the very first song released for the Every DAY6 Project – "I Wait." After performing four songs non-stop, the members welcome the audience with short speeches. They then continue the night with the pop rock song Better Better, modern rock Man in a Movie and the funky "What Can I Do."

Bassist Young K introduces the next stage of the concert with soft and soothing sounds. It starts with my all-time favorite – "Letting Go." Though the tracklist states that it's the rebooted version, it turns out they sing both versions in the bridge part. Won Pil surprised me when his part came up as his voice sounds extraordinarily different than before. In comparison to other "Letting Go" performances over the past two years, he now has a slightly deeper nasal voice.

As the band's synthesizer and keyboardist, Won Pil starts off their debut number Congratulations with a soft and melodious prelude. Jae sings in a balladic tone, Sung Jin heats up the stage with his usual husky voice, and Young K brings the tune back to the original version in the chorus. Since DAY6 became a five-member band, Jae has been responsible for the high-pitched part in the final chorus, and his voice is in his best condition in this performance!

DAY6 makes use of the front stage for a series of acoustic performances in which each member plays the acoustic instrument that they are handy at. Following "Alone" and "When You Love Someone," some members remain on the stage for their solo stages. Won Pil reinterprets IU's hit serenade "Through the Night" and accompanies Do Woon's Aroma on keyboard. The members later tease drummer Do Woon for making his "singer debut" at Olympic Hall! Jae performs his self-written track Raindrops along with Sung Jin.

Besides the finale concert, there is a 40-minute highlight video that captures the best moments from all the Every DAY6 monthly concerts. There are fun and cute times where DAY6 members dance and do aegyo in front of the audience; there are also stirring moments, like when a whole auditorium sings Man in a Movie with the band. In the December concert installment, all DAY6 members become teary and share their thoughts with fans. Sung Jin and Won Pil sob while expressing their heartfelt gratitude to the audience. Young K brings up the band's hardships throughout the year, revealing that they nearly gave up because it was not easy, but they strived and made it to the end because of the fans' love and support.

DAY6 for sure deserves more spotlight for their hard work and catchy, beautifully written tunes. Even for experienced artists, it's not easy to get the inspiration to create songs whenever you want. And yet, the boys did it, composing and releasing new songs every single month for a year. I truly admire their talents in music and respect their perseverance. The Every DAY6 Finale Concert is the best way to wrap up and commemorate this successful project, and to go over all the amazing pieces they created along the way.
