Let's catch the summer fever with more summer jams! Following last week's Summer Queen by Brave Girls, another girl group arrived with more bangers – it's Twice with the new EP Taste of Love. This time, Twice gives us another taste of summer with their mature, sultry charms in the mini-album.

Rather than going for an energetic and passionate night like in Dance The Night Away, Twice takes their time to chill and get tipsy in the title track Alcohol-Free (Track 1). With hip-hop elements blended in a bossa nova-based melody, Alcohol Free enacts a dreamy, magical summer romance in a tiddly atmosphere: "You are my champagne, my wine that I drink with my eyes. My tequila, margarita, Mojito with lime, Sweet mimosa, piña colada. I'm drunk in you." Mina, Sana, Jeong Yeon and Chae Young's voices especially suit the sweet and laid-back ambience of the song. Not only the music is good, it's also rare and fresh to pick a bossa nova-style title track, bringing a niche genre into the K-pop spotlight.

Like with their previous albums, the Twice members again penned lyrics for the side tracks in Taste of Love. Ji Hyo delicately conveys the feelings of a heart-fluttering crush in First Time (Track 2): "I don't know about you, but I get butterflies / All these feelings and trembling hands / First time, first time."

"Baby we're a scandal, way too hot to handle. You can't keep your eyes off, my love is like a candle..." Da Hyun fantasizes about a fiery, scandalous love in the upbeat disco-dance number Scandal (Track 3), and the chorus parts are just so catchy! Sana wants to "have a little less conversation" with her love in Conversation (Track 4), which gives off a subtly sexy vibe.

Twice goes bright and lovey-dovey in the 90s-style R&B dance-pop plug Baby Blue Love (Track 5) written by Na Yeon. Deux's Lee Hyun Do produced the funky synth-based pop song SOS (Track 6), with Da Hyun portraying a love you can't help but falling back into. The physical album also features the English version of their hit single Cry For Me (Track 7).

With six tracks in 18 minutes of running time, Twice's Taste of Love tries something new with the bossa-nova Alcohol-Free and other refreshing summer jams that show their growth.
