KOREAN TV BESTSELLERS

As one of the most-talked-about K-Drama hits of recent years, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, starring Gong Yoo as the Goblin, unsurprisingly takes the top spot as the best-selling drama of 2017. It's followed by two of the year's most star-studded and export-ready dramas: the Startling By Each Step remake Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo starring Lee Jun Ki and IU and fantasy romance The Legend of the Blue Sea featuring the blockbuster Hallyu pairing of Jeon Ji Hyun and Lee Min Ho. Besides series with top stars and idols like Ji Chang Wook and YoonA's The K2, Choi Ji Woo's Woman with a Suitcase, and Kim Rae Won and Park Shin Hye's Doctors, the acclaimed time-travel crime suspense dramas Signal and Tunnel also both made the shortlist.

CHINESE TV BESTSELLERS

One of China's biggest hits of 2017, the fantasy period romance Eternal Love starring Mini Yang and Mark Chao handily emerged as our best-selling Chinese drama and the second highest-selling drama overall. It is also the lone China representative in the top ten as TVB serials sweep the remaining spots. Gallen Lo's long-awaited TVB comeback vehicle Provocateur narrowly edged out fellow veteran Roger Kwok's revenge drama Dead Wrong for second place. Martial arts drama A Fist Within Four Walls, which ranked tenth in 2016, rose to #5.

JAPANESE TV BESTSELLERS

NTV's shojo manga adaptation Ani ni Aisaresugite Komattemasu starring Tsuchiya Tao romanced its way to the #1 spot for Japanese dramas. 2016's best-selling J-Drama, dTV's Attack on Titan spin-off Hangeki no Noroshi, stuck around at #2. KinKi Kids' Bokura no Yuki Miman City occupied two spots with both the 2017 sequel and the anniversary release of the original 1997 drama making the top five. As always, Arashi is represented with the Ohno Satoshi-starring special Kyo no Hi wa Sayonara coming in fifth, and perennial seller Itazura na Kiss - Love in Tokyo charted in the top ten for the fourth straight year.
