KOREAN TV BESTSELLERS

Coming-of-age BL series A Shoulder to Cry On, which was already our top-selling Korean drama of 2023, rises to #1 overall in 2024. Semantic Error keeps its #2 position for its third consecutive year on the chart. The rest of the top ten K-Dramas are familiar long-standing favorites like Goblin, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, The K2 and Gu Family Book.

Taiwan BL series We Best Love continues to top our Chinese TV drama bestsellers for the third straight year. Two new Taiwan BL dramas, Kiseki: Dear to Me and You Are Mine, enter the chart at #5 and #9. The HIStory series is still well represented with three entries. Acclaimed Mainland period drama Nirvana in Fire returns to the top ten, along with a few Hong Kong classics.

BL dramas dominate the Japanese TV bestsellers, with the English-subtitled releases of Love is Better the Second Time Around and Kimi to Nara Koi wo Shite Mite mo leading the way at first and second. The two seasons of My Beautiful Man, the top sellers in 2023, remain in the top five, ahead of newer hits like My Personal Weatherman and At 25:00, in Akasaka. Old Fashion Cupcake also charts in the top ten for the third year.

Love in the Air keeps its title as the top-selling Thai drama for the second straight year. Sharing the #2 spot are Last Twilight and My School President, which was also ranked second in 2023. There are five more GMMTV BL series in the top ten including Only Friends and the Thai adaptation of Cherry Magic. The two seasons of Filipino BL series Gameboys return to round out the list.
